The Need is Increasing

The number of individuals who are seeking assistance in Bucks County is increasing. It is becoming increasingly harder to live in Bucks County. AHTN's Resource Consultant, Nikki Farrior, has been fielding more daily calls from agencies, organizations and individuals. Ms. Farrior has a monthly budget that she can use to fund emergency shelter for individuals and families with children. AHTN can assist with rent; move-in costs; utilities; gas & car repairs. We feel it's important to shed light on the fact that although homeless numbers have been reportedly decreasing, we don't see the same decrease when it comes to those living in poverty in Lower Bucks.

Please consider giving to AHTN so that we can continue with our following missions:

Those in Need (TIN) - funding for emergency services for those who are homeless and those on the verge of homelessness. This mission runs all year long. AHTN also has a volunteer drive team that can take those in need to mental health, welfare or doctors' appointments; thrift stores; grocery stores; drug court; laundromat, etc.

Code Blue - AHTN volunteers pick up the homeless throughout Lower Bucks and brings them to winter shelter in a local church from December 1 - March 31, when the temperature plummets to 26 degrees or below, including wind chill. We secure 18 volunteers for one night of Code Blue. We provide cots, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, sheets, clothing, coats & boots (when available). The host church provides the space, dinner & breakfast.

Wheels to Meals - AHTN volunteers drive our vehicles to pick up the homeless and those in need and brings them to 39 different houses of worship for free shared meals. Our drive team does this every day of the year.

Rejuvenation Station - AHTN volunteers drive our homeless friends to Fallsington Friends Meetinghouse for a shower, haircut & shave, lunch & clothing.
